Jeff hails from the birth place of strip mining in Illinois' Vermilion County. His introduction to activism started in his teenage years organizing unions in fast food restaurants and auto warehouses where he worked. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, a former member of the IWW in the 1930's and 40's, Jeff's fight for justice continues in his work with frontline coal communities and financial reform of the banking industry.Last week, RAN teamed up with Pilsen Environmental Rights and Reform Organization, Occupy Chicago, and Reverend Billy for a week of action against B of A highlighting the bank’s $4.3 billion dollars invested in the coal industry and its impacts on local communities in Chicago.
