Yes to John Gibson. Democracy at this moment doesn’t seem Democratic. It feels as if the dangers we face on environmental issues are coming directly from militant anti environmentalists right here in this country. Anti ecological fundamentalists. I fear the extremism is fueled by the big corporations; who do seem to determine much of what passes for policy; playing on the fears (for profit) of those who reject science & Darwin. I maintain hope through continual grass roots activism.

I do not support violence, but I suspect we will see it from frustrated people unless environmental issues are taken more seriously by government. The impression of many (myself included) is that we do not live in a real democracy, and that government is led by big corporations. Unless we have more democracy in environmental decisions I expect we will see violence on a larger scale.
