One of the products I make is soap. I will design a page on our site to explain the issue of sustainability and the value of biodiversity. I believe we cannot destroy parts of the world's biomes to have plantations to make a product for export. Well, I guess you can, but finding out about the plight of these magnificent, gentle, intelligent creatures by their "cousins" the humans is just unbelieveable. This is not what I was raised to value-money and quick profit over responsible use of the resources the earth provides to us. Leave some space for the orangutans. Leave their forests intact. Not to mention the local humans who probably are not helped by these plantations either. Very nice soap can be made without palm oil. I will only buy organic, sustainable palm if I use it. Funny thing, the kind I have been buying is organic and sustainable and not from Indonesia, so there are companies providing this to the public already, we need to continue to support them.
