		<description>I prey for all the indigenus people of peru there safety and rights. I is just horrible that the greedy U.S does this with out the concern of anybody. The Peruvian government did indeed make a major concession today (for everyone who hasn&#039;t seen it yet: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/8109021.stm). But the action alert you&#039;re referring to went out several days ago - so the language reflects what the situation on the ground was then.

I&#039;d say that today&#039;s announcement is a great example of how the well-coordinated combination of grassroots protests and international pressure can achieve change remarkably quickly. And while RAN did play a minor role in U.S. response, my hat is off to Amazon Watch for the amazing work that they&#039;ve done on this over the past few weeks.</description>
