As a former community college history teacher that taught a lot of radical labor and anti-authoritarian history (never used those buzzwords though), I love that one of the two mountains saved by Lisa Jackson’s announcement last week was Blair Mountain.
Check out Jeff Biggers’ latest blog post about how rednecks and greens won the 21st century “Battle of Blair Mountain.”

Now we just need to stop the remainder of mountains slated to be destroyed by mountaintop removal.
