I was born in Stonega and I go back almost every year to see my half sister. The coal trucks are deafening and leave soot all over the houses and I'm sure in the people's lungs. It's not a very healthy environment to live in. And those beautiful mountains being cut down--it's so sad. I do love the serenity of the small towns of southwestern Virginia since I live in Northern Virginia and it's so congested and hectic here.
