A Warm Welcome to Citi’s New CEO

Embattled bank Citi named Vikram Pandit their new CEO today. citi ceo

Citi’s had a lot of trouble as a result of the current credit crisis, it’s what cost previous CEO Chuck Prince his job. But besides getting Citi out of the sprawling sub-prime mortgage mess, Mr Pandit will have to show leadership on another looming global crisis–climate change.

Currently, Citi is the biggest funder of coal from the cradle to the grave in the world. In order to avert climate disaster, Citi must take a lead and cease their funding of coal and bring about a real climate policy for their investments.
