I found this article very informative and up-to-date. I totally agree with the views of the writer that the custom signs play an important role in order to increase the business profits and build brand image of your company among the masses. These signs not only help your existing customers find your place of business, but also help you draw high percentage of the potential customers into clients and increase profitability of the company. These signs are very vital to your business success.

I recommend credit unions for people looking for banking somewhere that's not financing huge corporations and IMF projects, etc.

As far as I know, credit unions keep their funds local. The basic idea of CUs is that the members (people who own the accounts) "own" the bank. They vote for people to be on the board that oversees the credit union, and they have an annual meeting where stuff is discussed (I've never been to one, but I think all of the CUs I've been a member of have had one). They are non-profit and exist only for the purpose of meeting their members needs--which often results in them having better customer service and sometimes better rates and lower fees.

I'm not sure if there might be some squirrly way that CU money gets invested somehow outside of the communities where they're based, because I've never tried to investigate that myself or read an account of someone else researching it. However, the basic business model of CUs is not about doing that.

Usually CUs have a geographic membership requirements. Like, you have to live, work, or go to school within a certain county.

The RYSE Las Vegas protest was a huge success, and it's good to know that this was a national movement. when people doubted us and said, 'do you really think a bunch of high school kids are going to change their minds?', it was a great feeling to be the ones to prove them wrong. I <3 RAN!

Blacksburg VA: members of Blue Ridge Earth First! tagged half a dozen local BoA and Citi ATMS with stickers that said: Bank of America: funding coal, killing communities; and Citi logos with smokestacks. Coal was also left at one of the ATMs, and pamphlets were left at a few. Most of these were done subtly enough that the stickers should stay up for a few days before anyone takes them down.

In DC, one of our polar bears didn't just attempt to close his BOA account but actually did close it and walked away with his money in cash.

As for ALL the actions-it's so great to see so much creative energy behind this campaign! Good work everyone!
