The Race Against Warming

Yesterday, Bill McKibben, author and founder of Step It Up, joined Rainforest Action Network for our campaign launch calling on Citi and Bank of America’s to stop their financing of the coal sector and, ultimately, global warming.

On Sunday, McKibben penned an editorial in the Washington Post calling for a grassroots movement to pressure decision-makers to act.

Elite decision-makers in the corporate and political worlds are going to be feeling an increasing amount of heat (no pun intended) on this issue.

Uh-oh. The writing is on the wall. Why do you think Citi and Bank of America are spending millions of dollars in greenwash public relations campaigns and politicians like Gore, Edwards, Kerry and Reid are so outspoken on this issue? It’s only a matter of time.
