Coal miners visit Madison, NJ

Probably one of the best all around actions during the Step It Up weekend, our activists in Madison, NJ strolled down Main Street to their local Chase bank to shed a little light on the banks financial support of coal-fired power plants. My favorite photograph is of the three miners sitting in the waiting room of the bank, waiting to close their personal accounts with the bank (they really did have accounts and really did close them…which is probably the only reason they were allowed into the bank). Priceless moment in our campaign for sure. Well done folks, and keep it up!
