Welcome Declarers! Thanks for taking part in this effort bring an oil free future to America! An important part of this will be the discussion around how and when we can continue convincing American automakers, like Ford, to building more fuel efficient vehicles. We here at RAN think that its the only force behind this movment to change our energy practices. For hundreds of years citizens have been the impetus behind social and environmental change.

I had always figured that as the effects of global warming increase more and more of the largest ice sheets on the planet would continue to melt away. A great article in today's San Francisco Chronicle speaks to why that assumption is dead wrong.
