RAN, along with 15 coalition partners, is celebrating our 2nd Annual “Fossil Fools Day” this April 1st (Friday). With hundreds of direct actions and demonstrations planned at Ford dealerships around the country our goal will be to send a message to Detroit: there is a demand for fuel-efficient and zero-emission vehicles.

Ford has one of the worst records when it comes to fuel efficiency. Even worse, they’ve failed to acknowledge this and refuse to commit to a sufficient plan of action that maps out how they will begin to manufacture zero-emission vehicles. What’s keeping Ford from doing this? Its your blog…

After a lifetime on the East Coast and getting stuck in the Midwestern suburbs of Chicago and northern Michigan I'm finally on the West Coast in the always cool and never hot city of San Francisco. Japhet worked for various outdoor organizations before becoming a member of Howard Dean's webteam (a lowly online organizer) in Burlington, Vermont. Afterwards, he continued his election work with America Coming Together in Madison, Wisconsin where he helped increase voter turnout to the highest in state history. I participated in the April 1st day of action against Ford. I am glad to have done it. This seems like a very challenging goal. Even more challenging than a lot of others like Boise Cascade which I also participated in. Thanks for being such a great organization RAN. You are one of the few that really know what they’re doing and do it well.
